Xiaomi Redmi 2, is all set to receive a price cut tomorrow of Rs 1000 making the device final price to be 5999, the device was launched previously this year and now the company is going to slash the price a little bit to gain more consumer attraction.

The announcement was made on the company official Facebook page with a picture that said, “Paint the town Red, Ready to Change your phone”, with a partial Rs 5,999 visible.
Xiaomi has been recently slashing the prices of its products in accordance with its aggressive pricing strategy that the company is known for. Recently, Redmi Note 4G also received a price cut and now it sells for Rs 7999, similarly the current flagship Mi 4 also received a similar treatment with its price reduced to Rs 14,999 and so will be the case for Redmi 2.
While many tech bloggers seem to paint the news with the launching of Redmi 2A, we think its a bit unlikely for the company to launch the device without giving Redmi 2 a price cut. Whatever may be the case, we are going to get a device at Rs 5,999, tomorrow.
What do you guys think? For us, the Redmi 2 only has 1GB RAM and that’s a let down, with Yuphoria and other competitors offering 2GB’s of RAM they feel like a better suitor than Redmi 2. On other hand, the device has a very good camera in comparison to YUphoria and others in the same price range. Choosing the right smartphone in sub Rs 10,000 is going to b a tough choice, so we in our next post will highlight the best smartphones in the category.
