Sony device will malfunction if you enable My Xperia App under Settings

Sony has released a statement that tells us that if you have a Unlocked Bootloader and you enable the My Xperia App, your device will malfunction. The malfunction can cause considerable downfall in Camera quality, Screen Quality and also Audio Quality. The official statement read as

“After unlocking your device, you should not enable My Xperia (found in the settings menu under security on some devices running Android 5.0) as this might cause the device to malfunction.”

Company has been providing My Xperia App as a Theft protection app from quite sometime now, with features to Lock, Wipe and even Kill your smartphone if you ever loose touch but the App’s permissions makes it a general system administrator and then it conflicts when you unlock your bootloader, unlocking will also wipe your DRM Security keys which then are harmful for the overall performance.

Higher end Sony smartphones who have their bootloader unlocked should restrain themselves from opening and enabling the App because that will lead to malfunction, while we are not clear what Sony is referring to, we can assume that the device will soft-brick forcing you to use it just as a paperweight.
