Mi5 up in works, Xiaomi hints at 16 July announcement

Xiaomi Mi5, which is successor to the amazingly fast Xiaomi Mi4 is all set to launch in the days to come, with a possible launching date of July 16. Xiaomi disclosed on Chinese Social Media website a teaser, which stated a event on July 16.

We all know what Xiaomi is capable of.

Possible specs indicate that the device will be featuring a Snapdragon 810 SoC, a 5.3inch display with 1440 x 2560p resolution with 554ppi, with 2.5D edges, the chipset will be coupled up with 4GB RAM and 16/32GB Internal memory. 3,030 mAh battery will power the device and will boost a 16MP rear and 13MP Front camera.

Mi5 is to launch with a bigger brother, the Xiaomi Mi5 Plus, which is expected to have a 2K bezeless 6inch screen with a Gorilla Glass coating, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which will arrive in late 2015. 4GB RAM and 32GB Internal Memory, we hope to see a 16MP rear camera and standard set of connectivity options.
While the launch date seems really close, we are not sure if Mi5 Plus can be launched alongside with Mi5, due to constrains at Qualcomm, the company will not be able to provide Snapdragon 820 SoC until late 2015 and we can see a Mi5 Plus launching/unveiling meanwhile.
