Google came up yesterday to tell us about the new features of android wear and said it would be rolling out in sometime over the next week. Sony has shed some light on upcoming features of android wear and its smartwatch- that it will soon be releasing an update to the same.
Google announced that the new android wear will get a major update in the coming of days which will improve the overall user experience associated with the wearable. Always on screen, Always on apps was Google’s way of telling that from now the apps will stay as long as you need them to display information actively on the display, no going away when you drop your hand.
Wi-Fi Support– Finally your watch can now connect through Wi-Fi and get all you smartphone’s notification as long as the device has an active internet connection.
Emoji Support- Now android wear will let you draw emoji when you want to communicate with them, it’s a nice new feature when you don’t have a hundred words to say. Google says that this watch is capable of recognizing 100’s of emoji’s without taking art classes. So, I guess leave it to Google and let it do its magic.
There is also a feature that can show you the entire list without you touching the wear, just by flicking your wrist in the right direction and you’ll start seeing the scroll. This is one good implementation of the android wear gesture support and we look forward too see more gestures like this.
Now, Sony has come up with the changes in their Smart watch and they tell us some more features that Google didn’t-
Pop UP Notification – Now whatever you are doing on your watch, when you get a new notification it will displayed right the top of all of them. This features promises that you never miss a notification.
Adjustable Font Size– Font size can be adjusted, you can select how much text you want to be displayed on the wear screen.
Do you use a smartwatch of wear accessory of some kind? What do you think of this update? Is this big improvement or would just grow the gap between a wear and smartphone, letting wear be a gadget of its own? Tell us in the comment section below. Until next time, Keep Androtrending!
