What happens when you screenshot and send a WhatsApp conversation to a peer? Things run smooth when there is a single screenshot, but what when you have to take a couple of them? You have to make sure that they are sent in the correct order, and that you haven’t missed any message in the process. How do you ensure that you don’t mess up this tedious task?

Samsung came up with their own scrolling screenshots on Note 5 and included it in new S7 and S7 Edge. You can also get the same functionality by using third-party applications, such as Stitch and Share.

What “stitch to share” does is that it automatically stitches your screenshots line by line so that you get a running image of the conversation, just like below:

Scrolling screenshot

The best part is the automated process where you don’t have to manually select all the images (you can though) and then ask the app to stitch it. Let’s walk through the process:

Android is a big data hog, the more applications you fill in the higher the data consumption goes, and when you are on a limited data plan or when your operator has very expensive internet; you must tone down on the usage.

This post will focus on two methods to achieve data usage management, the bottom line being :

Understanding which apps uses the most data :

This can be done via Data Usage Settings, which gives us necessary statistics about data usage on our smartphone. Apps like Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Vine are some of the most data demanding applications in our android ecosystems, however you cannot save data on all of them (methods detailed below) because some them already compress data before sending you.

Taking Steps to restrict unnecessary usage :

In this post you will find two methods that you can use to restrict your data usage, and yes, both are non-root. One uses Opera Max, and another uses Android’s built in data usage management dashboard to help you determine ad restrict data access.

However, I recommend using Opera Max, because it also compresses data before it reaches you so you end up saving 40-50% data, you can expect a minimum savings of 20% and when on a limited data plan 20% is a considerable amount.

Below you will find both methods:

Method 1 (Non-Root)

This method uses Opera Max (third-party Application) to save you 30-50% on your data usage on your smartphone, this uses a complex compression algorithm to compress any incoming data to smaller packets to make sure that you get the same quality content at less bandwidth expense.

1) Download Opera Max

2) Open it and Run through the Setup guide

3) Now Click on Connect to Opera Max Cloud

4) On Allow Connection Dialogue box, click OK.

5) Now Opera Max will start saving your data.

Done!

Alternate Method (Non-Root Method)

This method uses android’s built in data management utility and will tone down your internet usage and will control data access to all applications. This will only give access to the current on-screen application so you can use any app using this.

1) Go to Settings.

It is a fun trick to use when people keep adding you into groups you don’t want to be added into. Do this and everyone will be force to leave the group immediately. This tip here is a very unconventional post from what we have done so far, but it is helpful when you start falling prey to spam groups.

How does this works: A little background detail

So, just a background detail on how we plan to achieve the desired task, you see, Whatsapp has imposed a 4000-character limit on messages but forgot to put a bar on emoticon usage.

So, what you basically have to do is to send a high number of emoticons, preferably 3500+, to a Whatsapp group or contact and this, in turn will force close the application anytime someone comes across that message.

Now, that we know the match, let’s do this :

1) Open WhatsApp

2) Get to the Contact/Group

3) Now start inserting in the same smiley multiple times, till it go to an insane high amount.

https://androtrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/smiley.mp4

Do it by this :

You can easily (little work) do this by using copy paste, insert a high number of a emoticon, copy it and then paste it, then copy it again and paste it again-repeat till you feel a lag yourself.

4) Force Close Whatsapp

5) Go to Chat list, Delete the Contact conversation/ Leave Group

6) Or just wait for everyone else to leave it out of sheer frustration of getting a WhatsApp force close.

This tip and trick is intended for some fun, respect people’s privacy and don’t use this to harm someone. How did you like this article?

This works. Period. Many of you guys regularly complain that over time your android has got sloppier and sloppier, eventually turning snail-slow. Touch responsiveness is among those factors that give to an android user’s fury.

Background:

Browsing through XDA-Applications section, I found an application called SuperTouch, which claimed to enhance touch responsiveness, decreasing delay and improve dragging inputs by adjusting and enhancing android’s native finger tracking service.

Looking at the post, I made my mind up that it was just another link-bait I got myself into, claiming achievements that were too good to be true, but still decided to give it a try.

Impressions:

Installed the application, made it through the setup guide, locked points to 1520 something- as it was recommended for devices having a FHD resolution, waited 4 minutes, yes, the process took 4 long minutes, and I didn’t really experience a thing. Same, still the same.

Somewhere between the setup guide, there was a tip to reboot device to see effects and so that was exactly what I did and then, I saw a significant jump in finger tracking, increased touch response and sliding, dragging improvements.

Conclusion and Review:

I was surprised to see the results, though it won’t make your device lag-less, or help you multitask, you’ll see results when you swipe between home-screens, drag icons in and out of drawer, out of nowhere you’ll notice tiny-tiny improvements, totally making it worth it. App’s only 3MB something, so won’t hog up your already scare resources, but will surely make up for that negligible storage loss.

How to Set Up SuperTouch?

To setup SuperTouch, follow the guide below :

However, if you already have a high-end flagship, you won’t experience significant improvements. Using end-to-end encryption, even the company’s management cannot view your messages and their content.

Keeping no records or logs, the company has no method of finding who is interacting with whom, so if you are skeptical of NSA’s widespread surveillance program this is the app for you.

Coming to why you guys are here in the first place, this article will help you to understand how telegram’s blocking mechanism works and how you can find if someone has blocked you or what they see when you have blocked them, here is all that it has :

How to find out who blocked you on Telegram:

Go to the suspect’s Chat Page.

Now, if the

Caption: Profile was blocked just after receiving the message ‘Hi’

Last seen says, “last seen a long time ago”

Profile picture is the same from a long time.

Single tick when you send a message.

Shows an error if you add him/her in a group.

If most of the above is true, it is highly likely that you are being blocked by him/her. However, it can also be the case if the person has not used telegram from sometime. So, if you want to be sure, ask someone if they can send you a screenshot of their chat, this way you can make sure if you are being blocked or not.

Some important pointers on this :

Even when they’ve blocked you, they still have the privilege of seeing your profile and last seen timestamp, so out of common courtesy, block them too.

If you have blocked someone, you’ll see a ‘typing’ notify in the chat selection box, that will notify you when someone you have blocked is typing something, but you won’t get the message, this way you can know if a person you have blocked is trying to reach you.

That’s all for now, and if you have any questions on anything about the post above, comment and I’ll get to you ASAP.

Xiaomi has sold a chunk load of smartphones in a relative less amount of time, thanks to Samsung and Apple for pricing their smartphones inappropriately high and to some extent to Xiaomi itself, understanding that generating ridiculously high revenue is the not only priority for a business.

And, even though all Xiaomi smartphones are a bang for a buck, at some point or other you eventually get bored with the everyday stuff and want to look out for something more. Well in this case, you have come to the right place, in this post we are going to talk about rooting xiaomi’s android lineup, yes all of them at this place. To shorten this article and be more specific, I have made separate articles for each of the devices.

They all follow the same rooting method i.e rooting via flashing SuperSU zip, but in order to flash a zip we need a custom recovery, so first we flash a temporary TWRP recovery through flashtool and then flash SuperSU package via TWRP.

So, you’ll need your smartphone drivers, flashtool drivers, superuser package and compatible recovery for your device. Don’t worry I’ve included all the links to the necessary resources in their separate device articles, with instructions on how to download and install them.

Below you’ll find all Xiaomi device and links that will take you on a step by step guide on how to root them, here you go :

Xiaomi Mi4i was the first smartphone that was solely entitled as a smartphone aimed for the indian market, while many people claimed that the ‘i’ stood for India, the company made no comments on the thought. Being present at the moment of announcement (Delhi Event), it certainly didn’t felt like a flagship, tough the company promoted it as one.

With mediocre specs, device was still a bang for a buck but got many tech enthusiasts disappointed over the fact that it was launched at the approximately same price as Mi3, weighing only half the specs. The aura of disappointed soon turned into a wildfire of negative emotions when people reported that it got very warm frequently and had a bit of heating issues. Now, after 6 months of announcement, the device has some of bugs fixed with OTA updates and consumer feedback.

So, if you possess one, root your device to use some root applications (greenify, system applications uninstaller) to take some load off the device so that it won’t heat up easily and bump up it’s performance quotient.
