Elephone, A Chinese Smartphone manufacturer has launched its first smartphone offering in the Indian Subcontinent as an affordable yet sleek, stylish and thin smartphone, ‘G7’. With the likes of Xiaomi, Meizu, Infocus and many other, now, Elephone has joined the queue with a affordable entry level smartphone aimed at a sub-10k price tag here in India.
Smartphone is priced at Rs 8,888 (140$) and is available exclusively via Snapdeal.
The smartphone is ultra-thin at 5.5mm, and only yesterday we saw that Samsung’s thinnest smartphone stood at 5.8mm, and Elephone’s G7 beats that mark by .3mm, coming on to the technical specifications of the device, the device holds no firepower when it comes to hardware with a 5.5 inch IPS LCD 720p screen, 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory, MicroSD slot.
Smartphone features a surprising 13MP Rear Camera with 8MP front camera for selfie needs and a 2050mAh battery to keep you running, other specifications include basic connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G Connectivity. The whole setup still runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.
Competition to the Elephone G7 is tough with the category being sub-10k, Xiaomi Redmi 2, Lenovo A6000Plus, Lenovo A7000Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G while almost all of them won’t be able to win from G7 on the Camera Front, other factors of G7 like Ram and Processor speed are weaker than the competition.
