On 26/1/15 the Indian based instant messaging app Hike got an update for its android users featuring a new Voice calling option.
Many other messaging apps like Viber, wechat etc already have got it. Which means that Hike is a bit late in the party yet it managed to come earlier than the Facebook owned WhatsApp.
According to the company employees,voice calling through Hike consumes less data providing more minutes comparatively. As the data plans are not relatively cheap in India.
The update for windows and ios will be seen rolling out soon. Apart from this hike uses a special kind of interface providing users a whole new room .
Also Hike also features many cool features like secure mode for privacy of chats ,it also enables its users to send free but limited number of SMS over the country Which we can also increase depending on the use.
There are Over 35 million users, the evolving messaging app after acquisition of Zip phone has taken a giant step . The company has got high hopes of raising its worldwide share in the messaging world with it.
