In reply to Jake. Hi Jake! I tried replicating your issue and I found out that even if I get blocked, I still see that message option. Try the other way, Go to a post and then try to send that as a message by clicking the send as message button. I hope this helps.

Hi Cat!

This means that you have the person blocked, it might just be a technical glitch. For me when I tried to replicate your issue, it was as easy as unblocking the person I had blocked, as soon as I unblocked him/her, the red ‘Blocked’ text vanished.

What does it mean when you click on the three dots and the “send message” button does not appear? I can still search and see the person’s profile but the send message button is not there.

I previously had someone blocked, then unblocked them. We both have private profiles and now follow one another. I sent the person a direct message, and when I click the information button in the top right corner it has the persons name and says Blocked. We are both still following one another and I do not have him blocked. What does this mean?

Hi! Someone blocked me on Instagram but my account if public so she can still access my profile. My question is: will my photos appear in her “following” activity feed if mutual friends like my photos, and will my photos appear in her Explore page?

I recently got Instagram, and I tried to follow one of my friends. I pressed follow, and it had requested, but then it went back to follow. I asked her if she had blocked me, and she didn’t, cause it didn’t come up the option unblock.

How do I fix this problem?
